Naptown's 2 cents

I really hope that this whole situation gets figured out in the next few days. Adam Schefter is reporting that the Falcons are offering Garrett more than the ravens, but Im sure Biscotti will step up to the plate.

I also don't understand why Rex Ryan isn't being considered anymore. Why not have a defensive minded coach? We've had an offensive one the last nine years and our defense was great so its not like theres a straight line correlation there. I say we should embrace what we have, an amazing defense, and hire Ryan. I would much rather see our defense continue to be in the top 5 year in year out than shift to an offensive minded team.

The problem with Rex is that the Coaching Staff lost the Locker Room! Well, at least Billick did....And then you had the team pushing for Rex as the coach...The players want a lax environment, and let Ray run the team! It cant be like that anymore! We need a hard nosed guy to come in and say, "This is my team, we are going to do things my way - Thats it!" - - And if the veterans dont like it they need to leave!

I agree. The Ravens need to change the culture in the locker room. It needs to be more about the team, and less about disgruntled veterans making their own schedule. If the team is practicing, you practice, end of story.

I hope if the ravens do hire garrett he can be forceful enough, I mean his IS only about 5 years older than some of the guys on the team.
